About Douglas
I am a student of Political Science at the University of Brasilia, and a passionate for languages. I started studying English (my first foreign language) at 9 years of age, becoming fluent at 13. After that I also learned Spanish and French. Currently studying Italian. I have more than 4 years of experience teaching English, for all ages and levels. I specialize in American pronunciation on a quasi-native level. I am an entusiata of the science of learning and behavioral, I understand that the prime factor for the learning of any matter is: To enjoy what is being learned. That is why I apply this guide in all my classes, personalizing the course to the interests of the student, working on their tastes to develop appreciation for the language.

I work online, with WebCam and screen sharing, so I can share live materials like: videos, snippets of series, movies, music, audios, to make interactive and diversified classes. Depending on the motivation of the student, there are two types of teaching: A focused on "ACQUIRE" the language (to communicate clearly and naturally) is based on a communicative approach and a lot of conversation, a lot of pronunciation and understanding skills native colloquial speech; the other modality focuses on "LEARNING" the language, at a quasi-academic level, for students interested in proficiency tests, academic productions or English for business, where in addition to the above mentioned techniques, it delves deeper into grammar and studies linguistic
