About Kate
I ran my high school’s tutoring program and worked as a tutor myself. Since I’m a student in college and I graduated high school in 2023 I am up to date with the average high school curriculum and expectations. I have taken 8 AP classes and tests, so I can help with practice for APs such as Art History, Language and Composition, Literature, Government, French, US History, and more. I also have experience working with younger students, as my mother is a teacher and I have spent time working with her in grades K-8.

I focus on helping you understand components of good writing and how to implement them in your work. I work with your preference for tutoring, be it if you prefer a relaxed environment or if you prefer to be guided. You have the control in the session, and I am there to support you. I like to teach the fundamentals of academic writing and introduce techniques that I use myself to help me write. I enjoy helping you write and revise drafts to see where you can improve and enforce and praise your strengths. Positive feedback has been super helpful for me learning to write, so I focus on finding your strengths and teaching you helpful techniques to boost your level of writing.
