About Lindsey
"Holding an MA TESOL and a BA in Romance Languages from the University of Sydney, I ground my work in formal linguistics. This academic base pairs with 7 years teaching in Melbourne to ensure clear explanations. I work primarily with teens, exam candidates for DELE and DELF, and absolute beginners. It is quite rewarding to see people gain confidence in their travel Spanish or interview skills.
Having coached many students, I know exactly where the common pitfalls lie. We can tackle idioms, expressions, or the nuances between Latin American and Castilian variants together. My goal is to make these concepts feel accessible rather than intimidating. I look forward to supporting your goals as you navigate your language journey in a friendly and structured way."

"Structured grammar drills are usually the least helpful way to start speaking a new language. I focus on role play and dialogue practice to get you using phrases immediately. We will bridge the gap between textbook vocabulary and actual conversational fluency.
Drawing on 7 years of teaching, I adjust the pace to suit your needs as an absolute beginner or an advanced learner. Pronunciation work is integrated throughout to ensure you sound natural. You can expect a supportive environment where making mistakes is just part of the process."
