About Travis
Welcome to the music studio of Travis Lohmann. Since its inception in 2014, the studio has been providing carefully curated, individually tailored lessons to students who want to study a wide variety of musical disciplines. In addition to teaching traditional piano lessons, Travis' studio can provide instruction in: music theory, music composition, music production, violin, and test preparation for Music Theory AP Exams. Travis Lohmann's musical background started when he first began piano lessons at age four. Studying Classical Music for the majority of his life, he earned his Bachelor of Music - Jazz Piano Performance from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, in addition to his Master of Music - Jazz Composition and K-12 Music Graduate Licensure, also from UNLV. Aside from educating students, Travis frequently writes production music for TV shows, most recently: "Germany's Next Top Model" and "Bar Rescue". His sheet music is also exclusively published through "Piano Pronto Publishing", and holds much pedagogical and educational value. His knowledge of music technology and music production is an added asset to the studio, and a wonderful area of study for students to delve deeper into the field of music composition and theory. He is well-versed in Logic Pro X and Avid Sibelius, and lessons for these software can also be studied. Believing in a "one size does not fit all" philosophy of music education. Travis has always strived to cater lessons to the individual student, not constraining them to specific repertoire or regimens of practice. While technique and building skill on the instrument is important, even more important- is instilling the joy of learning and creating music- whatever that may be. Classical? Jazz? Soundtrack Music? Travis' endgame is that you find what music brings your soul alive. Travis Lohmann is a proud member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers and Performers).

I strive to tailor personalized music lessons to students, in addition to augmenting their knowledge about music theory and technique. My general level of students are Intermediate to Late Advanced, and a typical lesson plan for a student covers: warm ups, technique builders, targeted plan for repertoire, and crucial listening examples.
