About Anna
I have over 26 years’ experience in drama and theatre. I trained as a classical actress at Bretton Hall and hold a Master’s degree in Drama and Theatre Education from the University of Warwick, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Education Department.
Alongside professional theatre work, I have spent the last 14 years working in education and am currently Head of Performing Arts at a highly regarded school near Stroud. I have worked with a wide range of performing arts companies and have successfully guided students through their LAMDA qualifications for over a decade.
I am deeply passionate about theatre both onstage and backstage, with experience in performing, directing and mentoring young performers. Alongside my theatre work, I am also a keen painter and writer, bringing creativity, imagination and a broad artistic perspective into every lesson.

Lessons are tailored to your individual goals and experience. Whether you are new to LAMDA and want to build confidence, develop vocal projection, characterisation and physicality skills; an experienced performer working at the highest levels of LAMDA with aspirations of drama school; preparing for auditions; or seeking additional support with GCSE or A Level Drama and Theatre Studies, sessions are adapted to suit your needs.
All lessons begin with a focused vocal and physical warm-up, followed by a recap of previous learning. We then move into a main practical task, ending with a performance, reflection and evaluation, and the setting of clear targets for the following week. Every student is different, and I take time to understand how you work and which skills you would most like to develop, ensuring lessons are purposeful, supportive and challenging.
