About Christina
Hi! I'm Christina and I have a Double Collegial Diploma in Classical Piano Performance and Film Studies. I am currently studying Classical Piano Performance at Université de Montréal and am teaching in a few music institutions. Before college, I followed the Montreal Music Conservatory Program from ages 9 to 17. Upon request, it will be my pleasure to provide a detailed resumé!

- Music Theory from the basics to writing in 4 part harmony
- Pianistic Technique (Schmitt, Hanon, Pischna, Brahms)
- Piano repertoire covering baroque, classical, romantic, modern and contemporary genres
- The basics of jazz/blues music and theory

My teaching style involves a lot of play, because if it's not fun, there is no way in my mind that practicing an instrument can be sustainable. I'm there to give you the tools to succeed on your own and to develop into a passionate, well-rounded musician!

I use the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal approach and mold it around your needs. I create well-rounded musicians : because they explore ear-training as well as sight reading, my students play with intention and learn to look at the piano as one big orchestra. We learn to feel music around here!

Details
If the student is under the age of 10 years old and does not have experience, I recommend to start at 30min every week and progressively increase to 45min and 1h (this process can take up to three years of classes, it really depends on the child). I charge 35$ for 30min and 40$ for 45min. Those options also suit lower budgets or people who would prefer shorter lessons!
