Teenagers and self-taught violinists often find themselves seeking a firmer structural foundation for their playing. 13 years spent moving between concert halls and folk stages informs my perspective on the instrument. My training from the UBC School of Music provides the rigor required for mastering shifting positions and intonation. I approach the violin as a versatile voice that speaks in both formal and informal dialects.
Whether addressing spiccato bowing or nuanced vibrato, my instructions remain exacting. I find that double stops and precise tone production serve as the bridge between styles. Returning learners frequently come to me to refine their technical discipline.
It is rewarding to see players gain control over their sound. I have performed across Canada for 8 years. My practice is rooted in a quiet dedication to the craft.
