About Kirzaiah
Hello! I’m a saxophonist who recently graduated from Chetham’s School of Music. I have been accepted to the Royal Academy of Music for Classical Saxophone and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama for Jazz Saxophone.
I have performed alongside the BBC Philharmonic and Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra at venues including Bridgewater Hall and The Stoller Hall, and performed at the Manchester Jazz Festival and on BBC Blue Peter. I’ve also performed extensively as both a classical soloist and jazz musician, including concerto performances, big band concerts, and featured solos.
Teaching helps me grow as a musician by encouraging me to develop new practice methods, improve my communication, and build patience, skills that benefit both my students and my own playing.

My lessons are structured but always tailored to each student’s goals and level. We begin with a short 2–5 minute warm-up, including long notes and scale patterns, to develop a strong tone, improve technique, and build a better understanding of the geography of the saxophone.
We then focus on studies or exercises that target specific aspects of saxophone playing that need improvement, whether that’s articulation, finger technique, sound or rhythm. The second half of the lesson is dedicated to working on your chosen pieces and personal goals, helping you make steady and enjoyable progress.
Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit your needs. I also teach jazz saxophone to students who have a solid foundation in the basics and are ready to explore improvisation, style, and jazz vocabulary.
