About Артём

I’m a chess coach from Russia with 17 years of playing experience and 4 years of coaching practice.

My background:

· Candidate Master (CM) title, achieved at 9 years old
· Peak FIDE rating 2156 (achieved at 14)
· Peak Lichess ratings: 2674 blitz, 2977 bullet (Top 300 worldwide)
· Top 11 finish in the Russian Chess Championship
· Winner of Russian Cup stages
· Multiple-time champion of the Ural Federal District (Russia)

I was trained within the Soviet / Russian chess school system, learning from coaches of world and European champions. This background forms the foundation of my teaching approach

About the lesson

Lessons are in a game and dialogue format — no boring memorization. We analyze real positions, look for solutions together, and learn to understand the logic behind every move.

My goal is not to overload you with information, but to help you start thinking over the board and enjoy the process of growth. The approach and pace are individual — tailored to your goals, level, and personality.

I was stuck without a clear plan in my games. After 4 months with Artem, my rating jumped from 2000 to 2200 and I finally understand what I'm doing over the board.

I started learning chess from scratch, and in just three months this coach completely changed how I see the game. Before, I was intimidated by chess — it felt too complicated. But his lessons are all about playing and understanding, not memorizing. We analyze positions together, and he always explains the logic behind every move in a way that makes sense.

What I love most is that there’s no pressure. He adapts to my pace, and every session feels more like an interesting game than a boring lesson. I never thought I’d actually enjoy chess this much. Highly recommend!
