About Sienna
I have 8 years of experience teaching chess and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Game Theory. My teaching spans children, teenagers, and adult learners, with a focus on building strategic thinking, tactical awareness, and self-confidence. I emphasize understanding the logic and psychology of chess while encouraging curiosity and thoughtful analysis.
My teaching philosophy prioritizes patience, clarity, and engagement. Lessons are designed to accommodate individual learning styles and objectives, combining guided exercises, practical games, and problem-solving to ensure comprehensive development. Students are encouraged to think critically, analyze decisions, and learn from mistakes in a supportive environment.
Outside teaching, I study professional games, emerging chess strategies, and cognitive research to continually enrich my lessons. Supporting learners as they develop both technical skill and cognitive insight is immensely rewarding. I aim to help students become not only stronger chess players but also more confident, analytical, and thoughtful thinkers.

My chess lessons focus on developing strategic thinking, tactical skill, and cognitive problem-solving. Lessons cover openings, middlegame strategy, endgame technique, pattern recognition, calculation, and psychological aspects of competitive play. I integrate interactive puzzles, live game simulations, scenario analysis, and guided reflections to ensure learners develop a deep understanding of chess logic. Each session encourages critical thinking, patience, and adaptability, fostering both technical proficiency and intellectual growth.
Lesson content is tailored to student ability. Beginners focus on piece movements, basic rules, checkmates, and elementary tactical motifs. Intermediate learners work on positional play, calculation exercises, opening principles, and planning multi-move strategies. Advanced learners explore complex endgames, advanced tactics, timing strategies, and tournament preparation. Each lesson emphasizes constructive feedback, analysis, and problem-solving to reinforce learning and build confidence.
