About John

Born in Leicester, I studied at Leicester Grammar School during both my IGCSEs and A-Levels, where I also won an award for Applied Maths after achieving the highest result of my year. For university, I study Chemistry at Imperial College London and will be starting my final year in October. I will make sure students have a great chance at achieving the highest results, which will be done through constant practice and help during sessions. Me and students will start the session by going through the relevant topics that they have covered in school, to see how much they have remembered and where their weaknesses are shown. This will then be followed by constant practice with chances for the student to ask questions if they have a lack of understanding. I will then be able to give the student advice on exam technique and which sections of content are of the most importance, which I obtained when getting the relevant qualifications. I am aiming for the student to be able to go into the exam with confidence that they can achieve the highest grades possible.

About the lesson

Lesson with constant practice with support throughout. Will start session going over topic covered then the student will be given many practice questions where they can ask questions and understand the exam technique that I used in order to get 9s and A* when I was sitting the relevant exams. I will help the student with anything they bring to me.

Perfect! Awesome tutor! He helped me get through AS Maths even though I started from basically no knowledge and he's a very smart person. John breaks down each chapter well and taught me how to use the discriminant among a lot of other things.
