About Venci

I am a graduate in Chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. I have experience in hands-on lab work in organic chemistry and I have tutored peers in organic chemistry and chemistry in college. I have tutored 15 people in organic chemistry and they all passed with at least a B. I have also tutored 20 kids in chemistry who all passed, I received A's in both my college chemistry classes. I am comfortable teaching Algebra, high school, and college as I have been tutoring students in Algebra since I've been in high school. I also tutored calculus I to 10 students who all received passing grades. I can assist with college applications such as essay writing and the process, I was accepted to UCLA, University of Miami, and other schools like Geneseo; I was also offered a full scholarship at State University of New York at Stonybrook.

I am a college graduate, I have a bachelor of arts degree in Chemistry with a focus in Biochem. I tutor high school and college students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Calculus I, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry,

My teaching methodology involves teaching a student how to understand a subject rather than just memorize it. I use real-life scenarios, visualization, and audible techniques to assist in the memorization of trivial facts. In return, this helps students draw upon needed information when building their understanding of a subject.
I prefer to talk with students rather than lecture. Completing hands-on work such as solving problems or viewingreal-world applications are some ways I engage students in topic matters.
I believe a large part of understanding a subject is knowing the "jargon", or language used in the subject. I make sure the student is comfortable with the words they are hearing and know their definitions. I also believe a student does better in a class if they can expect what is to come during the testing and quizzing. I work on pattern recognition with teachers testing and quizzing and guide a student to have stronger test-taking skills in the subject they are struggling in.
