About Marina
I started studying singing at the age of 14. Yes: tough years. I have never regretted this first approaching to vocal technique, because it helped me, years later, to understand something that I desperately needed to know: everyone can learn to sing and nobody is the same.
I remember when I arrived to class. My partner –one of my best friends- was finishing her lesson. Our voices sounded very similar: sweet, smooth and delicate 14 years old girls’ voices. But, why was she improving way faster than me? Why could she sing those exercises in an extremely easy way? And why could she hit those high notes and I could not? My teenager me thought: “Ok, that’s it. I can’t sing”. But I was stubborn. And I loved music, so I kept trying.
Years passed and I took many singing lessons from many different vocal coaches. I improved, but not enough –for me. There was always something weird with the technique. But then, I met one amazing teacher who showed me the secret: technique cannot be the same to every student like every voice is different to each other. That was brilliant! So simple, but it really took too much time for me to find one teacher aware of this.

One more thing: as you may notice for my writing, English is not my mother tongue. In fact, I want to improve my speaking level in order to prepare my annual tests for my certification. That is why I am offering online lessons (via Skype) to English native speakers for a lower price than usual.
