About Xiaoyu
I hold a Bachelor of Music from McMaster University, majoring in violin, and a Master of Education from Western University. I have over five years of teaching experience, and many of my students have achieved First Class Honors in RCM exams. I am an ORMTA-certified and RCM-registered teacher. I use both Suzuki and RCM materials for beginner instruction. I also perform regularly with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra and Oakville Symphony.

I offer violin lessons in Markham, London, and Oakville for students of all ages and levels. I help students build strong fundamentals while nurturing their musical interests. Whether you want to learn for fun or aim for excellence, I support both. I encourage students to participate in local music festivals and RCM exams, and I tailor each lesson to your pace and goals. Lessons are available in English or Mandarin.
