I have had the privilege of studying Quran memorization and tajweed with Sheikha Mariam and I cannot recommend her enough. She provides a very customized approach and sought to understand my learning goals from the outset.

Beyond teaching the proper rules of tajweed and helping me strengthen my memorization, she takes the time to explain the meanings, themes, and context of each surah we study. As someone whose first language is English, so much of the meaning can get lost in translation sometimes but Sheikha Mariam’s insights have helped me develop a deeper connection with the Quran and a greater appreciation for its message.
