About Iana
I am Russian by birth and a Salvadoran at heart since 2022, when I chose Salvador to be my home. My background is academic: I have a degree in Pedagogy and Sports, with several specializations focused on psychology and learning processes. Recently, I consolidated this knowledge by obtaining certification in Methodology of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RKI), combining my training as an educator with my mother tongue. For me, teaching Russian is much more than transmitting grammar; it is a bridge between my roots and my life in Brazil, built with the dedication of someone who believes that knowledge is the most powerful tool to shorten distances and broaden horizons.

In my classes, I use a comprehensive teaching method that combines conversation, knowledge of Russian culture, and the study of linguistic structure. Being neurodivergent, my teaching style is visual and stimulating: I seek to simplify complex patterns through direct associations and logical connections, ensuring that learning is organized, light, and with a touch of humor. After all, Russian is intimidating; a joke is welcoming!
