About Jamie
I am a certified English Language Arts teacher based in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have a Master of Arts in Secondary Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado, and before that I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in History.
Although I have a full-time teaching position during the school year, I love working with students one-on-one and in small groups as well, so the idea of doing something I love on evenings, weekends, and summer breaks and earning some extra income in the process is a win-win for me.
As a teacher and tutor, I always lead with compassion for students' needs and have open ears for any feedback and questions they might have throughout our work together.

As a certified English teacher with a Master of Arts in Secondary Teaching, I am uniquely qualified to offer support for students ages 11-18 on any topic within the subject they might need. This could be anything from basic writing or reading comprehension skills to ACT/SAT test preparation.
For college students, I can offer tutoring for all 100-300 level English classes, as well as English skills you may need help with in other classes. As a successful professional working in my field, I can offer support for resume building and cover letter writing for students nearing graduation!
Sessions can be virtual or in-person - keep in mind that any in-person session more than 8 miles away will have a fee added for gas expenses, and I will not travel more than 20 miles for a session. Sessions can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
