About Adaobi
My name is Adaobi Nnajiofor and I am a writer.
I grew up at my grandmother's knees listening with joy, as she told stories of the past- of people she knew as a teenager, the wars she lived through, the children she had and lost and her disillusionment with the present.
The joy that my grandmother's stories brought me and our household is one that I channel into every class I teach so my students see writing- not as a chore to power through, but as a way to preserve history, interpret the present and maybe forecast the future.
I teach writing so that students understand that the writer is in charge of life because the one who tells the story is in charge of its narrative.
I also have over four current online certifications in writing from the University of Michigan and Wesleyan University, because I want to give my best to my students. You will get my energetic teaching of creative writing from myself and the wealth of knowledge I got from the writing coaches whose classes I took.
As my student, I will challenge you to write and also, write well. I will challenge you to be vulnerable in your writing, teach you to get your reader emotionally entangled with your characters and help you always think of your audience.
The human imagination is limitless and there is no better escape for the mind than writing. I hope you take my course so we unlock your world in exciting new moments for your readers.

My students begin my writing class by telling me "WHY" they want to write and the genre they are most comfortable writing.
Knowing a student's "Why" and hope for the course helps me give them a personalized learning module tailored to their needs. This helps keep the interest of the student and keep the course exciting for the student to continue to the end.
A typical lesson lasts over an hour but is broken down to 20-30 minutes or an hour broken down to 10 minutes each, if the student prefers.
I studied English Literature in the University (BA) and have online writing certifications from the University of Michigan and Wesleyan university.
Students from the ages of 18 and above will enjoy my writing course. Aspiring writers of all ages will get the polish and growth they need to keep growing as writers.
