About the lesson

Years spent throwing pottery taught me that some skills simply cannot be rushed, and that same slow, tactile patience shapes how I approach every French lesson I teach. Vocabulary gets practiced physically sometimes, writing words by hand, tracing letters, engaging the body alongside the mind the way pottery engages hands alongside genuine concentration. Grammar gets introduced calmly and gradually, one shape settling before the next begins, since I've found rushing genuinely creates more collapsed, unstable structures than it ever saves in real time. I encourage students to notice and correct their own small errors gently, the same self-awareness pottery demands constantly at the wheel without a teacher intervening on every single detail. Speaking practice happens without pressure or rush, giving students genuine thinking time, since good pottery, like good language, cannot be forced into shape through pure impatience. Consistency matters more than intensity here. Every lesson stays calm, tactile, and genuinely patient.
