About Isabella

I am a fashion designer and artist with over 5 years of experience working in the fashion industry across both Paris and London. I have worked for brands including Givenchy and Maison Margiela at both ready-to-wear and haute couture levels. I also have my own brand which most recently showed my AW/23 collection at The 180 Strand in London. I believe in teaching in a way that not only brings forward my personal expertise in the industry, education system and the application processes, but is aimed at each individual student creating work that is meaningful to them and fulfils their personal vision! I received a First-Class Honours degree in Fashion Design with Print from Central Saint Martins, and a distinction from their Foundation programme, as well as A* grades at GCSE and A level.

About the lesson

I have a holistic and experimental approach which centres around helping my students to find their personal voice through their work which expresses their vision! This is not only aiming towards exam results, but primarily towards their future in aiding them to be accepted at a university programme of their choice. As a Central Saint Martins BA and Foundation Graduate with over 5 years working in the Fashion industry including at brands such as Givenchy and Maison Margiela I understand at every level the process of growing and translating your skills into physical meaningful work that will help you get to the next stage, and take with you throughout your career! During my applications process I also gained places at Westminster, Ravensbourne and Kingston Universities- all programmes I applied to. These tutorials are primarily for students A Level (or equivalent) Art and Textiles, and those aiming to continue into higher education. They range between 60-120 minutes in length, and are tailored to what each student is looking to focus on, from coursework, portfolio reviews or interview guidance, to guided projects and drawing/making sessions.

Perfect! Isabella is very understanding and patient. My daughter enjoys her lessons with her. Isabella is able to explain things in a simplified way, checking that what she's explaining is being understood. She also helped and supported my daughter preparing for exams including the maths part of the GCSE textiles paper. She's able to offer advice and guidance about what sort of things to include in a portfolio or how to prepare for an art or textiles related interview.

Her style and ideas show her knowledge and experience of the fashion industry. She is an accomplished designer and has introduced my daughter to artists and design concepts which has inspired her to pursue a career in fashion design. Many thanks Isabella!
