Teaching provides a unique satisfaction derived from watching complex ideas click into place for others. 13 years spent in competitive chess taught me that success relies on disciplined calculation and pattern recognition. My background includes a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Sydney which shapes how I analyze middlegame planning and positional understanding.
Developing an opening repertoire or sharpening endgame technique requires a calm, tactical mindset. I assist students ranging from absolute beginners to club members preparing for tournaments. Your competitive mindset will strengthen as we bridge the gap between amateur play and serious, results-oriented engagement.

Instruction begins with a deliberate pace that prioritizes clear feedback before moving to more difficult concepts. My University of Sydney training informs a rigorous method focused on visualization and attacking play.
