About Liwen

I am a business student whose mother tongue is Mandarin. I have been tutoring Chinese for a year, and I had a bachelor's degree in education when I was in China. I took the Mandarin rank examination during my bachelor time, and I got an A for level 2. (In China, level 1 is specially designed for show hosts and broadcasters, and level 2 is good enough for the rest of the groups.)

About the lesson

So far, I teach daily conversation and sometimes cultural stories on Zoom, but I will adjust my content based on different needs. To make learning interesting, I always use a lot of pictures and matching games through PowerPoint during class. Normally, my first class would be Pinyin (Chinese spelling for characters), so that my student could read and find a way to pronounce. We could always find something that you are interested in, and create a class out of it.

Liwen is patient with her student. She is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and she would constantly encourage me to speak more. The content is practical including some daily conversations. It is fun to have her class.
我们是中西家庭，但儿子在家从来不说中文，可是自从跟力文老师学习中文之后，现在都可以成句的表达了，也不抗拒用中文跟我交流了。力文老师是一个非常有耐心和责任感的老师，她会根据当下的节气来给儿子选择上课的内容，所以小朋友也非常感兴趣，很幸运儿子能成为她的学生。
