About Angelica
I am a recent graduate from a Master's in Financial Mathematics, completed at the same university I received my Bachelor's in Mathematics at. I really enjoy solving complex problems and studied with the same group of friends all throughout university, which together with my previous experience in tutoring has helped develop communication skills that allowed me to explain concepts clearly, tailoring my approach according to the person I am explaining them to.

I like to understand where the student is at during the first couple of lessons, making sure that my approach is not too fast and that all of the basics are fully understood before we dig into harder specific problems. I usually focus on one-hour to two-hour intensive sessions, where I first set up a problem for the student to solve out loud in front or screensharing with me so that I can hear their thought process and jump in if necessary, and follow with my worked example talking through each step. I like to make the session interactive and focus on exercises, as I find that Maths is best learnt if applied directly after being exposed to the concept.
