About Madeline
Hi! I’m Madeline, a student at Brown studying Applied Math and Computer Science and a teaching assistant for an intro AI course. I am also on the women’s soccer team, so I try to bring positive team-like energy and enthusiasm into everything I do.
Outside of school, I love being active and trying new things—I scuba dive, snowboard, hike, travel whenever I can, and am always on the hunt for good food. I also enjoy reading, doing puzzles, watching movies, and spending time with friends.
I try to bring that same energy into tutoring and create a space where students feel comfortable, supported, and actually enjoy learning.

As a Brown APMA-CS student and AI course teaching assistant, I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorize steps. I break down material clearly, then reinforce it through targeted practice and exam-style problems. To beat the test, you have to know the test!
A typical plan starts with identifying goals (improving SAT scores, mastering calculus topics, improving grades etc.), followed by guided problem-solving and strategy building. I emphasize confidence, strategies, and quick implementation to see results quickly.
I primarily work with high school students in SAT Math, AP Calculus (AB/BC), Precalculus, Algebra, and introductory Python.
