About Jen

I am Jennifer, a British actor and singer. I have been coaching actors for auditions/scenes/singing and accents. I am extending my coaching for individuals and business people worldwide - would you like to feel more confident, easily understood and better able to communicate?
I can help you to develop an ease and confidence in yourself. You will no longer have to worry about being misunderstood as you speak in English, no matter what your natural dialect is or where you are from. I am a compassionate teacher, with a solid system of sound recognition which is easy to follow. You will notice a huge difference from our first session and am happy to offer an initial consultation for free.
You will increase your skill immediately so that you will get the attention you deserve for any meetings, presentations, speeches or just socialising at home and work. I am on the roster of the top talent agency in Canada, and am used to coaching all abilities and levels.

About the lesson

I have developed my own system of teaching which is adapted to the way that works best for you.
I assess where you are starting from which is unique to you. I also work within your budget and timeframe available.
I use ear training and phonetic recognition and introduce you to a wide variety of similar sounding words in your chosen accent (RP, Estuary or London/cockney).
I focus on 1 to 3 new sounds every session so that you gradually build your comprehension and perfect ability at your pace without getting frustrated or confused.
We also spend part of the session reading from a variety of sources - you may be more interested in business journals, technical books, or novels or movie scripts. Anything is useful and we make it fun! The more fun you have the more the work will be easily absorbed into you without the stress or boring repetition. We also have improvised conversation on topics chosen by you which you may think are the most helpful.
I email you notes from the session each time to remind you of the work we did and to highlight words or phrases where we need extra attention.
Homework is optional where I can set a task for you to attempt before the next session.
