Bristol undergraduate student offers tutoring in English for ages 5 to 18

During my Gcses I struggled quite a bit with english literature, and Catherine was appointed as my English mentor. She not only helped me become more confident in the subject by helping my understand how to write an essay with a good structure by giving my essay plans but also helped me go from a level 5 ( C grade) in my mocks to a level 8 (A*) in my GCSEs.

Catherine is a wonderful and lively mentor, who assisted me greatly in school by guiding me through my GCSE art work.

She explains things in a clear, concise way, making sessions easy to understand, and her cheerful presence affects her students very positively!

Catherine tutored my daughter (15) for 1.5 hrs in Art. She is an excellent tutor who engaged well with her student making her feel comfortable and confident. She has good knowledge of GCSE Art and gave constructive criticism and advice. Catherine is extremely intelligent, she’s very pleasant, enthusiastic and fun. She really enjoyed the session and put all her energy into it. She was very professional.

Catherine is very good at giving students tips on how to improve their technique and how to improve their grade at gcse by including what the examiner is looking for. She is very well-read and passionate about English Literature. Her enthusiasm is infectious.

Catherine supported all three of my children through their gcse art course. She went through their coursework books and suggested ways that they could improve their marks by including extra information and art work, in particular she helped the students to signpost their thought processes and idea developments clearly for the benefit of the examiners. Catherine was also happy to give lessons in technique and different media where my children were lacking confidence.
