About Zane

I am an international student now in US. I love teaching and learning language. I've been correcting and teaching many foreigners in my home city for almost two years. I taught about five or six students before. My student has shown great performance in both Chinese test called HSK test and in daily conversation and even in the course.I taught few foreigners from America, Australia, and NewZealand. They are all adults with student status in China.

About the lesson

With Chinese, you could easily travel through the whole China mainland, Taiwan, HongKong, Malaysia, Singapore, and China towns in America. You don't have to struggle for the food names and what they mean. With the basic understandings in Chinese characters, you could know the culture and history and customs in China. Might be useful even if you were in Japan.

Regular Chinese course is aimed to help beginners who have learned a little or never learn Chinese. This course includes Pinyin(Chinese phonetic transcriptions), basic Chinese words for greetings, traveling and ordering food in Mandarin. And later on we will have interesting conversations even debates if we get a group members learning Chinese. It is up to your zeal and motivation to learn Chinese.

I prefer to talk in person with daily conversations, lots of history facts in China to help students build up language ability and comprehension of words and sentences. But before you pick up the conversation like real Chinese people, always comes the systematic, and regular Chinese phonetic transcriptions and basic easiest Chinese characters.THIS REQUIRES YOU TO TAKE GOOD NOTES AND MEMORIZE THEM ALL, ONLY 26 ENGLISH LETTERS TOTALLY SAME AS ALPHABET IN ENGLISH.
I do not use the similar English pronunciation to simulate Chinese pronunciation, because that will make beginners with more difficulties to transfer from their language system to Chinese system. And also, this could strengthen their foreign accents in Chinese.
For HOMEWORK, I'd like to assign you with more basic things, not definitions or boring copy. Because the language study comes along with the reading, listening, writing and speaking, so the homework is integrated with these four parts. Not a lot, but you have to go over frequently, just because it is not your native language. Do not use any translators while doing your homework, for Chinese, there is no perfect translator, so the translations could be easily recognized by native Chinese.

For course delivering mode, due to the COVID-19, we could only have it online on zoom or skype.

My pricing of regular course won't change unless the currency(dollar) inflates million times. And for examination course, which is aimed to prep for HSK or college or high school exams, the price will be a little bit higher.
