About JOHN KLYDE
I am a dedicated and patient tutor specializing in Science. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology (BS Medical Biology) and am a consistent Dean’s Lister, maintaining a General Weighted Average (GWA) in the range of 1.09–1.16. I am also an active Quiz Bee participant, with achievements including First Runner-Up at the Centralian University Week Science Quiz Bee (AY 2024–2025), Champion at the Centralian University Week Science Quiz Bee (AY 2025–2026), and Champion at the WVSU Biotechnology Day Quiz Bee. These academic and competitive experiences have strengthened my critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to apply knowledge under pressure.
My goal is to make every lesson clear, engaging, and comfortable for students. I explain concepts step by step and adjust my teaching approach according to each student's learning pace and needs. Whether you need help preparing for an exam, understanding a challenging lesson, or strengthening your Science knowledge, I am here to guide you. With a patient, supportive, and student-centered approach, I aim not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop their confidence, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and genuine understanding of what they are learning.

As a tutor, I believe that learning Science should be clear, practical, and enjoyable, rather than simply memorizing formulas and concepts. I adjust my teaching style based on each student's level, learning pace, and areas that need improvement.
My Teaching Method and Techniques:
I use step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, practice problems, and active questioning to help students understand concepts deeply. For Math, I focus on problem-solving strategies and guide students through the solution instead of simply giving the answer. For Science, I simplify difficult concepts using analogies, diagrams, examples, and connections to everyday life.
A Typical Lesson Plan
1. Quick Review – Check the student's previous knowledge and identify areas that need improvement.
2. Concept Discussion – Explain the lesson in a simple and organized way.
3. Guided Practice – Work through sample problems or questions together.
4. Independent Practice – Let the student solve problems independently while I provide guidance when needed.
5. Recap and Assessment – Review the key points and give short practice questions to check understanding.
6. Feedback – Identify strengths and areas to work on for the next lesson.
