About Lalinthika
- What kind of experience do you have?
I am a qualified and highly experienced Science teacher with over 15 years of success in teaching and curriculum leadership across secondary schools, FE colleges, and international schools. I specialise in GCSE Science, Key Stage 3, A-Level Chemistry, and BTEC Applied Science, with a strong track record of helping students achieve results they can be proud of. My teaching has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted, and I am often described as a “super teacher” by colleagues and students alike. I combine high expectations with a supportive, encouraging approach, ensuring students not only improve their grades but also build confidence and genuinely understand the subject. I have experience working with a wide range of learners—from those who need help rebuilding foundations to high-achieving students aiming for top grades. Most recently, my students achieved a 100% pass rate, with 80% securing grades B/6 and above. My lessons are carefully structured to ensure students build strong knowledge, confidence, and exam skills over time. Each session begins with targeted retrieval practice to strengthen memory and identify gaps early. Students are provided with high-quality, topic-based resources to guide their learning, which we work through together over a number of weeks. This allows for depth of understanding rather than rushed coverage. A strong focus is placed on exam preparation throughout. Students regularly practise exam-style questions and are taught how to approach them effectively, including strategies for high-mark responses, calculations, and extended answers. My approach ensures that students not only understand the content but also know how to apply it in exams—helping them achieve their full potential.
