About Sema
Hello! I graduated from Bilkent University’s Faculty of Music and Performing Arts and I am currently continuing my studies in a master’s program. I have received professional music education for more than 12 years and have had the opportunity to study with experienced teachers from different musical schools and from Türkiye and around the world.
I have been teaching private lessons for approximately 7 years and have experience working with students of different ages and levels. I teach solfège, music theory, ear training, and conservatory entrance exam preparation.
In my lessons, I create a personalized program according to each student’s level and goals. My aim is not simply to make students memorize musical concepts, but to help them understand, hear, and apply music in a practical way.

My lessons are suitable for students aged 6 and above. The content of each lesson is adapted to the student’s age, level, and individual goals.
Depending on the student’s needs, we can work on solfège, music reading, rhythm, music theory, dictation, ear training, and basic harmony. For students preparing for conservatory or music school entrance exams, I create a personalized program based on the specific requirements of the exam.
Rather than relying on a single textbook, I use different methods and learning resources according to the student’s level and needs. After explaining each subject, I place great importance on plenty of practice, so that students can not only understand the theory but also apply it confidently.
With complete beginners, we start with the fundamentals of music and progress step by step. With students who already have some musical knowledge, we focus on identifying and improving their weaker areas.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, students who want to develop their musical skills alongside their school or conservatory education, students who need support with solfège or ear training, and those preparing for conservatory or music school entrance exams.

Kızım piyano dersi almaya başladı ve derslerden çok memnunuz. Sema’nın çocuklarla iletişimi gerçekten çok güzel. Kızıma karşı sabırlı ve anlayışlı davranıyor, dersleri onun yaşına ve seviyesine göre eğlenceli bir şekilde ilerletiyor. Kızım ders günlerini heyecanla bekliyor ve evde kendi isteğiyle piyano çalışmaya başladı. Kısa sürede nota okumada ve piyano çalmada gelişme gördük. Çocuklara piyano eğitimi için kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
Sema ile müzik eğitimi aracılığıyla tanıştım. Sabırlı, güler yüzlü ve öğrencisinin ihtiyaçlarını önemseyen bir öğretmen. Derslerde konuları anlaşılır şekilde anlatıyor ve bolca pratik yaptırıyor. Birlikte çalıştığımız süre boyunca kendimi birçok açıdan geliştirdim. Hem yeni başlayanlara hem de kendini geliştirmek isteyenlere kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
Çok memnunum, bir süre ders aldım. Hiç müzik bilgim olmamama rağmen çok güzel yerlere geldim. Bir çok kaynak kullanması güzel bir şey. Öneririm.
Gerçekten çok memnun kaldım. Bu mesleğin içinden birisi öğretince gerçekten çok fark ediyor. Ben kızımı konservatuvar sınavlarına hazırlansın diye ders aldırmaya başlamıştım. İyi ki de yapmışım. Teşekkürler
