About Iona
My name is Iona and I am an enthusiastic French tutor!
I was born in a binational family with a Scottish mother and a French father. I have had the privilege to study in an international school (English spoken) located in the South of France after which I moved to London to study osteopathy. Languages have always fascinated me as they can be used as a tool for communities with different cultures to communicate effectively, while also reflecting the identity of a society. This is why I joined the Centre International de Valbonne where I was able to learn French and English in depth. I also studied Spanish, Latin and Ancient Greek. At the end of my studies in France, I obtained an International Baccalauréat with "mention très bien". I have since then tutored students in London.

Throughout my education and while growing up speaking French, I have developed a love for the language, its complex syntax and rich vocabulary. If you would like to develop your understanding of the French language, I would be delighted to it teach to you! My aim is to help you practice French conversation, as well as working on your ability to read and understand written French by analyzing news papers and key novels (e.g.Camus, Molière, Zola, etc.).
