About Cindy

I was born in Hebei Province, China, where the standard Mandarin accent is spoken. I moved to Canada at the age of 18, and as someone who learned a second language myself, I truly understand the challenges students face. This experience allows me to put myself in my students’ shoes and tailor lessons to their individual needs. Being bilingual in Mandarin and English, I can explain concepts clearly and make learning approachable and enjoyable.

As a bilingual Mandarin and English tutor, I focus on creating lessons that are clear, practical, and enjoyable. My teaching method combines structured learning with natural conversation, helping students build a strong foundation while gaining real-life speaking confidence. A typical lesson includes pronunciation and tone practice, vocabulary building, sentence structure, and short conversation exercises. I also like to include small cultural notes to make the learning experience more engaging and authentic.
