About Gloria
I am a journalist and writer from France. I have 4 years of experience tutoring french and english. I worked at a bilingual summer camp in Magog from 2012 to 2015 where I was in charge of French and English lessons, teaching children from age 6 to 16. I was also a private tutor for two young brothers (7 and 11 years old) in France who needed to learn English to get into a private bilingual school. After one month and a half of tutoring, they go into the school. I have experience working one and one and in big groups. I have a degree in Journalism from Concordia University and I am currently freelancing and writing a book on salmon with an award-winning photographer.

My mantra while teaching is that people should want to learn and should love learning. So I base my class depending on my student. Everybody learns differently. I also base it off their needs. If the reason for taking a class is academic, I will usually work off of what they are currently learning in school and spend time on the weaknesses and homework with them. There are so many questions that don't get answered during regular classes, this is a time where we can answer all those questions. My goal is for the student to be able to understand what they didn't before and to teach it in a way that really sticks. By the end of our class, bringing what we've learned to a hobby the student enjoys is a great way to do that.
