About Vivi
I'm a fully bilingual high school student, I grew up speaking French and English at home, with a 93% average and a genuine love for working with kids. I'm Red Cross certified in babysitting and first aid, and I've spent years caring for and teaching children, from babysitting to running interactive workshops for kids through a project I founded. I also volunteer regularly, including supporting paramedic training and visiting with elderly residents, so I'm used to being patient, responsible, and good with people of all ages. Outside of academics, I'm a competitive volleyball player, which has taught me a lot about leadership, communication, and breaking things down step by step, skills I bring straight into tutoring. I'm friendly, reliable, and genuinely excited to help kids build their confidence in French.

My teaching style mixes hands-on activities, games, and clear explanations tailored to each student's pace and learning style, so lessons stay engaging instead of feeling like a lecture. A typical session starts with a quick check-in, moves through the topic in small steps with practice and interactive activities, and ends with a fun wrap-up to keep things positive. From working with kids at summer camps for years, I've learned how to keep young learners focused, motivated, and comfortable asking questions, even when they're struggling. As a bilingual student, I'm able to teach and explain concepts in both English and French, which helps students build confidence in the language. What sets me apart is how easily I connect with kids: I'm close enough in age to relate to them while still being a strong academic role model they can look up to. My lessons are for students up to grade 8 who want help with French, whether they're building confidence, catching up after falling behind, or getting ahead.
