About Lian
I’m a guitarist, composer, and educator with a background in jazz and contemporary music. I studied at Berklee College of Music and the Aaron Copland School of Music, graduating with honors. Over the years, I’ve performed internationally and worked with artists like Sherman Robertson and Leo Brouwer. My music blends modern jazz with melodic elements from folk and pop, always rooted in strong harmonic language. As a teacher, I focus on turning theory into creative tools — helping students understand harmony and composition in a way that’s musical, personal, and practical
