About Sandra
Language acquisition should feel less like a chore and more like a bridge to new experiences. You will find that my lessons are surprisingly practical even when we focus on difficult idioms or complex writing structures.
My 10 years of experience allow me to identify exactly where a learner is stuck before we even begin our first formal session. We start with a diagnostic level test to ensure the path ahead is clear and productive. You can expect plenty of role play and dialogue practice to boost your fluency.
I prioritize cultural context because knowing the words is rarely enough for natural interaction. We will sharpen your accent and intonation until you feel ready for any high-stakes interview. Building your vocabulary happens naturally through consistent engagement with interesting topics. Lyon is where I grew up and where my earliest language memories are rooted. It might seem strange that a native speaker spends 10 years teaching French to Canadians, but this duality is my greatest asset. My classroom work involves supporting learners as they navigate both grammar and cultural nuance.
I have instructed hundreds of students throughout my career while maintaining my own professional edge in the business world. My BA from the University of Toronto solidified my ability to break down complex structures for those who speak English as their first language. Helping people find their voice in a new language remains the most rewarding part of my day. I find that my perspective as a bilingual coach helps bridge the gap between textbook theory and authentic conversation.
