About Yvonne
Usually the bow stroke feels awkward until we settle into the mechanics. My time with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra informs how I teach double stops and vibrato.
We will work through sight reading and tuning by ear during our time together. I provide recorded playback of tricky passages for your home practice. This ensures you have a reference for your classical repertoire studies.
It helps to have that extra support between our sessions. We can just take it step by step.

Sometimes I find that stillness is the most difficult technique to capture. My studio in Montreal is a quiet space where we focus on precision. I hold a BMus from the UBC School of Music.
My background includes 13 years of teaching strings and voice. I am comfortable guiding students from RCM Grade 1 to Grade 10. My work often involves helping working professionals and absolute beginners. I emphasize tone production and rhythm in my instruction.
