About Eddy
I graduated as part of Balwyn High School's Class of 2024 with a raw 46 in Business Management (top 2% of the state) and raw 40 in General Mathematics (top 9% of the state).
As a tutor I would like to not only clear up any doubts that may arise within my students but also empower them to do their very best. When I initially started Business Management I was only averaging 70s, so I know how it felt to be terrified of the transition into VCE and would like to ease that transition for my students. Over time, I became very successful in Unit 3/4 Business Management, having only dropped 9 marks across all 5 SACs.
I understand that high school can be overwhelming for teenagers, so this is how I will create value!
Real-time quantitative and qualitative feedback on questions, including practice SACs.
Emphasis on performance under time pressure, both with VCAA and external practice questions.
24/7 unlimited communication outside of class for subsequent support to fulfil both academic and well-being needs.
Exam-centric approach, know how to confidently write in sufficient depth to avoid any scope of pedantically losing marks.

I estimate lessons to go for 1-1.5 hours depending on if its Maths or Business Management. In both cases, I will clear misconceptions and create strategies to memorise and apply the concepts. I intend to go over both student and model responses to fill in gaps in my students' knowledge to ensure they can walk into assessments feeling confident that they can succeed in answering 'curveball' questions.
I have been a peer mentor at Balwyn High School which has allowed me to improve my resilience and confidence and am cleared to work with children until July 2029 (details upon request).
