About Shazia
I am a dedicated and results-driven educator with over 10 years of experience teaching primary and lower secondary Science using the British Curriculum. Holding a Master’s degree in Genetics and a proven record as a KHDA-approved Science Coordinator, I have successfully guided students to achieve outstanding results, including international STEM awards and TIMSS Advanced Benchmark performance. My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to meet each learner’s needs. I use inquiry-based teaching, interactive simulations, and practical examples to make scientific concepts clear, memorable, and enjoyable. Students are challenged to think critically, develop problem-solving skills, and grow in confidence—whether they are building foundations or aiming for top grades. I use an inquiry-based and student-centered approach that builds curiosity and confidence in Science and Mathematics. Lessons are designed to help learners not just memorize facts, but to think critically, ask questions, and apply knowledge to real-life situations. I incorporate technology, interactive simulations, and practical examples to make complex topics engaging and accessible. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, carefully structured to include a recap, targeted teaching, guided practice, and independent application. I also use assessment data to personalize lessons and challenge students at every level, whether they need support or are high achievers ready to be stretched further. With over 10 years of experience as a KHDA-approved Science Coordinator and Teacher, and a Master’s in Genetics, I have successfully taught students following the British Curriculum in Years 3 to 6, helping them achieve excellent academic results, including TIMSS Advanced Benchmark performance and awards in STEM innovation. My lessons are ideal for primary and lower secondary students (ages 7–12) who need to strengthen their understanding, prepare for assessments, or develop advanced STEM skills.
