About Rochelle
I am a highly determined, enthusiastic Performer with a passion for Music, Performance, Song writing and Production.
EXPERIENCE
Vocal Coach, Singing Tutor
London Music Factory/Tutor Doctor (February 2018 – Present)
This involves planning and teaching personalised vocal sessions to students aged 4+. Combining my own knowledge and experiences as a professional Singer, I personalise each of the sessions to suit each student’s vocal abilities and goals.
Singer/ Songwriter, Performer
Self-employed (October 2010 – Present)
I started singing at a very young age and have since then managed to build a reputation as a Singer/Songwriter. This includes the writing, recording and performing both original and cover songs. In 2012 at just 16 I was offered my first residency at the Quality Hotel where I would perform every Friday and Sunday night for their guests. Since then I have been performing at a range of Gigs, Festivals, function events, weddings, birthday parties, charity events and christenings.
Choir Leader/Vocal Tutor
During my time at Coventry University I joined the Coventry University Gospel Choir and became one of the leaders. My main role was teaching and arranging harmonies. During the 2 years that I lead the choir we performed at many Gospel events, weddings and christenings and came 3rd in the University Gospel Choir of the Year competition in 2015. Being a contestant of UGCY I was also given the opportunity to be a part of the choir for the XFactor Live Shows in 2016.
Youth Leader
I also participate in local creative youth organisations, workshops and festivals helping young people learn how to sing and improve their confidence as artists. From 2012-2014 during my A Levels I was the Youth Leader for Fargo Bloco Coventry, my main role was assisting in the teaching of music to young people, organising and planning events and I was the Vocal Tutor of the singers within Bloco.
AWARDS
Majestic AME Singer of the Year (2017)
The Majestic Arts Media and Entertainment (AME) Awards were established to recognise and award people making outstanding achievements in the Arts, Media and Entertainment sectors within the Midlands. In 2017 I was nominated as a finalist in the Music category and was awarded AME Singer of the Year 2017.
