About Sanjay Raj
I am a professional vocalist and composer with over 16 years of experience in the Indian music industry. As a current disciple of the legendary Shri P. Unnikrishnan, my foundation is rooted in the highest standards of Carnatic music. My journey includes being crowned the winner of the reality show Gandharva Sangeetham Seniors (2008-09) and receiving prestigious awards from icons like Dr. K.J. Yesudas, Johnson Master, Ouseppachan and Sreevalsan J Menon.
Beyond my classical roots, I am an active performer on the global stage. As a member of the band Indie Rhythms, I frequently tour Europe, performing in major cities such as Vienna, Munich, Milan, and Cologne. My professional portfolio also includes composing for major brands like Chungath Jewellery and collaborating on devotional projects produced by Nandhu Kartha. I bring this real-world recording and stage experience into every lesson, ensuring my students gain a comprehensive, professional-grade musical education.

My lessons are a unique blend of traditional Carnatic discipline and modern performance techniques. As a disciple of Shri P. Unnikrishnan and an active performer with Indie Rhythms across Europe, I offer more than just textbook theory.
I provide individually tailored coaching in Carnatic, Film, Light, and Devotional music, focusing heavily on voice culture, microphone techniques, and stage presence. Whether you are a beginner or an aspiring professional, you will benefit from my 16 years of experience in recording studios and live concerts.
A special highlight of my curriculum includes basic sound engineering lessons as an additive bonus, ensuring you understand how to navigate a professional studio environment. For exceptionally talented and eligible students, I even offer collaborative audio production opportunities to help launch your musical journey. There are no age or gender barriers—only a shared passion for soul-stirring music.
