About Kristin

I'm an award-winning architect, multidisciplinary designer, and creative director with over 18 years of professional experience spanning web design, UI/UX, branding, graphic design, digital marketing, and architecture.

As the co-founder of a multidisciplinary design agency, I've worked with international clients across a wide range of industries, creating everything from brand identities and websites to e-commerce experiences, digital campaigns, and comprehensive design solutions. My work has been recognized through international design awards and featured in media outlets including CNN and Entrepreneur.

Throughout my career, I've led teams of designers, copywriters, and developers, managing creative projects from the first idea to the final result. This experience has taught me that great design goes far beyond aesthetics—it requires creativity, strategic thinking, an understanding of people, and the ability to solve real problems.

I also hold an MBA from the London School of International Business and have completed Y Combinator Startup School, bringing a business and entrepreneurial perspective to my creative work.

I'm passionate about continuous learning, sharing knowledge, and helping others develop their creative potential. My goal is to make professional design knowledge accessible, practical, and enjoyable, whether you're discovering web design for the first time or looking to take your existing skills to a higher level.

I believe the best way to learn design is to understand the thinking behind it, practice it, and gain the confidence to create independently.

About the lesson

Learn Web Design from an Award-Winning Designer — From Your First Website to Professional-Level Projects

Great web design isn't just about creating beautiful websites. It's about creating digital experiences that work, communicate effectively, and deliver results.

With over 18 years of multidisciplinary design experience, including architecture, branding, UI/UX, web design, and digital marketing, I bring a practical, real-world perspective to every lesson.

Whether you're a complete beginner looking to build your first website or an experienced designer wanting to elevate your skills, my lessons are tailored to your current knowledge, professional goals, and learning pace.

My Teaching Method

Learn by doing, not just watching.

My approach combines clear explanations, practical demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and real-world design projects.

Rather than simply showing you where to click, I teach you how to think like a professional designer: how to approach a brief, understand the audience, organize information, make confident design decisions, and create websites that are both visually compelling and functional.

Depending on your goals, we can explore:

- Web Design Fundamentals: Layout, typography, color theory, composition, visual hierarchy, and responsive design.
- Website Building: Creating professional websites using platforms such as WordPress, Wix, and Shopify.
- UI/UX Design: User journeys, navigation, usability, wireframing, and intuitive digital experiences.
- Branding for Web: Translating a brand's identity into a consistent and recognizable online presence.
- Landing Pages & Conversion Design: Creating pages that guide visitors toward meaningful actions.
- Professional Design Workflows: Understanding client briefs, planning projects, presenting concepts, handling feedback, and preparing websites for launch.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like

1. Understanding Your Goals

We begin by identifying what you want to achieve, reviewing your current skills, and defining a clear learning objective.

2. Learning the Principles

I introduce the relevant design concepts and explain how they apply to professional web design, using practical examples.

3. Hands-On Design

We apply what you've learned directly to a website, landing page, or design exercise. You'll develop your skills through actual creative work rather than theory alone.

4. Professional Feedback

We review your work together, identifying what works, what can be improved, and why. You'll learn to evaluate design decisions with greater confidence.

5. Applying Your Knowledge

You'll receive practical exercises or project milestones to reinforce your learning and progressively build your skills.

What Makes My Lessons Different?

I teach web design from both a creative and a business perspective.

As an award-winning designer with extensive international project experience, I've worked across architecture, visual identity, branding, digital design, e-commerce, and marketing, while leading creative teams and managing projects from initial concept to final delivery.

This means I can teach you much more than the technical process of building a website.

You'll learn how to:

- Develop a professional designer's eye for detail, balance, and visual quality.
- Understand the relationship between aesthetics, usability, branding, and business objectives.
- Make thoughtful design decisions instead of relying entirely on templates.
- Approach projects using professional creative processes.
- Build websites that are visually engaging, user-friendly, and strategically designed.
- Present your ideas confidently and develop work suitable for a professional portfolio.

My goal is to help you become an independent, confident designer who understands not only how to create a website, but why great design works.
