About Effie

I am an Award-winning Animation Director working in the Film and Advertising Industry internationally. My latest multi-awarded Stop Motion film “My Stuffed Granny” had a festival run across the planet and sometimes I got to travel along. On my journey I gave lectures, workshops, Q+A’s, masterclasses, pitching sessions and many more. I am experienced in most Animation techniques and available to work out what’s best for your idea and how you can successfully bring it to life.

About the lesson

Whether you are about to apply for a BA/MA in Animation and you need professional help or you are someone in need of constructive feedback, I want to guide you to find the bunny in your hat and help you release it and run free and wild. From idea conception, development and portfolio creation, I want to present you the tools that will make you and your work stand out with confidence. Previous lecturing includes UAL, BFI, Raindance etc.

I took online lessons with Effie for a few months and they were so engaging and helped me immensely with my animation skills. She’s so friendly and easy to talk to which definitely made the sessions fun and interesting! Everything I learnt from her helped me to get into Manchester Metropolitan university to study animation and our sessions definitely made me feel more prepared when starting my degree. Would 100% recommend Effie as a tutor to anyone looking to improve and learn more about animation.

Effie is more than a competent animation director. In her capacity as director of the 2D animation film I co-produce, The Sea Tranced Isle, she knows how to pay attention to every aspect of filmmaking; she can guide people and actors/actresses in the same way she can handle her own puppets in a stop-motion film. She's experienced in the international filmmaking process. professional, willing to listen and understand, and ready to teach with clarity the secrets of this fascinating craft.
