About Ahmed
Available after 5pm on weekdays—anytime on weekends! Just give me a heads up! I set clear expectations and hold students accountable for their own progress. I define goals, milestones, and deadlines, then guide students as they work through them independently. I do not complete assignments or homework on a student’s behalf. The responsibility for execution and learning remains with the student. My role is to provide structure, direction, and feedback. I track progress, identify gaps, and challenge students to improve their thinking and workflow. This builds discipline, consistency, and ownership over results rather than dependency. I encourage students to explore ideas and test solutions, while keeping their work grounded in practical constraints. I guide brainstorming and problem-solving sessions so students learn how to balance creativity with function and constructability. Clear communication is a core focus. I train students to articulate ideas through drawings, models, and presentations, and to listen critically to requirements and feedback. This mirrors how professionals operate in real project environments. I also introduce supporting topics—design logic, CAD and BIM tools, and architectural context—so students develop a complete framework, not isolated skills. The outcome is students who can think, communicate, and execute independently, with technical competence and professional judgment. I focus on the gaps most training ignores: implementation strategy, workflow failure points, and the business consequences of technical decisions. Students learn how tools interact, how firms structure digital delivery, and how to operate with professional judgment rather than dependency on presets. I bring over 10 years of hands-on experience in Ontario, working inside real project environments, not isolated labs. Today, I operate remotely as a consultant and instructor, teaching students across Canada and the United States how to implement technology properly, not just use tools in isolation.
My work spans the full Autodesk ecosystem used in production firms:
ACC (formerly BIM 360) for project delivery and collaboration
Navisworks for coordination, clash management, and model review
Revit for discipline-specific modeling, standards, and templates
ReCap for reality capture and scan-to-BIM workflows
AutoCAD and vertical products for legacy and hybrid environments
Students learn how these tools connect, how firms actually deploy them, and where failures typically occur. The focus is implementation, decision-making, and professional context—how technology supports delivery, coordination, cost control, and risk management.
