About Rocky
I have been a ceramic artist for over 50 years. I taught at Cambrian College for 15 years. I've built woodfired, gas fired and raku kilns. I now fire at cone 6, but have fired at cone 8 and 10 in the past, both oxidation and reduction. I make functional ware as well as ceramic sculpture.

I give workshops on throwing large pieces and glaze chemistry. I will show you how to even out the temperature in your own kiln by proper stacking and soaking at the top temperature. I will help you fix your glazes - make them more shiny or more matte and how to substitute glaze materials. I will show you how to do triaxial glaze tests.
