About Talia

My passion for ASL began in 2016 while in a high school algebra class. I had 4 Deaf classmates and each day I would be eager to learn more ASL. Soon, I was able to carry on conversations with them and build a strong friendship. I later completed my freshman year at Bloomsburg University as an ASL/English Interpreting major. COVID hit later that year, sending us all online which prompted me to transfer to Montclair State University. Fast forward to 2023, where an amazing opportunity to interpret at an elementary school arose. And here we are!

About the lesson

I like to use as little voice as possible during our lessons; this is the best way to learn. I encourage you to use gesture as a means to get comfortable expressing yourself while you are on your way to learning ASL!
These lessons are for you if:

- you want to communicate with a friend/family member/partner
- you're learning for work
- you simply love the language
