About Emanuel

Hello! My name is Emanuel and I am a native Spanish speaker from Argentina, currently living in Auckland, New Zealand.
I grew up in Argentina speaking Spanish every day, and I have a natural passion for sharing my language and culture with others. After moving to New Zealand, I realized how much Kiwis enjoy learning Spanish — whether for traveling to Latin America, connecting with Spanish-speaking friends, or simply for personal growth and new opportunities.
I have experience helping people learn languages in a relaxed and effective way. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and focused on building real confidence from the very first lesson. I explain everything clearly in English and then move quickly to speaking practice so you can actually use Spanish in real life.
What I love most about teaching is seeing students smile when they manage to introduce themselves, order food, or have a simple conversation in Spanish. I also enjoy adding fun cultural touches from Argentina, such as talking about asado, mate, tango, or everyday life in Buenos Aires, which makes the lessons more interesting and memorable.
I am flexible with schedules and happy to teach both online via Zoom and in-person around Auckland. Whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your conversation skills, I will adapt the lessons to your goals and pace.

About the lesson

I am a native Spanish speaker from Argentina, currently living in Auckland, New Zealand. I offer engaging and practical Spanish lessons in English for beginners to intermediate students (A1–B2 levels).
My lessons focus on real-life communication from day one. I use a communicative approach: I explain grammar and vocabulary clearly in English, then we practice through speaking, listening, role-plays and interactive activities. I also include cultural elements from Argentina and Latin America (such as greetings, food, music and daily life) to make learning fun and memorable.
Example of a lesson (60 minutes – Beginner A1 level):
Title: Greetings, Introductions and Basic Personal Information
Objectives:
Greet people and say goodbye in Spanish
Introduce yourself (name, age, nationality, where you are from)
Ask and answer simple personal questions
Lesson Structure:
Warm-up (5-10 min)
Greet students with “¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás?” and practice basic responses: “Bien, gracias. ¿Y tú?”
Presentation (10-15 min)
Introduce key phrases with clear pronunciation:
Greetings: ¡Hola!, Buenos días, Buenas tardes
Introductions: Me llamo…, Soy de Argentina / Nueva Zelanda, Tengo … años
Farewell: Adiós, Hasta luego, Chao
Controlled Practice (15 min)
Students practice short dialogues in pairs (or breakout rooms):
“¡Hola! Me llamo John. ¿Cómo te llamas? ¿De dónde eres?”
Freer Practice & Game (15 min)
“Find someone who…” activity – students ask questions around the class or in chat to find classmates who match certain descriptions.
Wrap-up (5 min)
Quick review, cultural tip (e.g. cheek kissing in Argentina vs handshake in NZ), and homework (record a short self-introduction video).
I correct gently with positive feedback and adapt the pace to each student’s needs. My goal is to build confidence quickly so students can use Spanish in real situations, such as travel to Latin America or chatting with Spanish-speaking friends.
I am flexible with scheduling (evenings and weekends work well) and can teach online via Zoom or in-person in Auckland. Materials are provided, and lessons are relaxed, fun and tailored to Kiwi learners
