About Clara
I am a qualified English teacher by profession, born and living in Buenos Aires, with 55 years of experience teaching English to all levels, including in-company students. I have taught in the best institutes in my town and I am proud to say they have all achieved their goal. I have coached foreign business people with Spanish Conversation lessons, helping them to be able to deliver presentations, lead their staff while in our country, and feel at ease and certain of their message, always in a relaxed atmosphere where smiling and even joking is not banned.

As regards my teaching methodology, you should know that it is based on my belief that speaking is achieved through intensive speaking. Errors are to be expected, both in grammar and pronunciation, but speaking gives the teacher the opportunity to spot the difficulties and work on them. In my lessons I bring articles of diverse origins, listening activities and material the student is interested in.
Students prefer not to work on grammar points. That will be up to the students to decide. During a conversation, grammar errors are bound to come up at the lower levels, so, in order to learn what the correction is, the student should be aware of the mistake. As a teacher, I do believe the point should be taught. Yet, if the student has chosen to take conversation lessons and chooses not to delve into grammar, I will offer the possibility to see the point correctly for the student to decide.
I would like to answer all the questions candidates want to ask about me and my methodology, so I will be ready to satisfy any doubts the students might have.
