About Silas
My interest in architecture developed during my Master’s Degree in Architecture, where I explored how design shapes human experience. I was always interested in creativity, space, and how ideas can be turned into meaningful structures. Over the past 5 years, I have worked with many students, helping them develop design skills and creative confidence through structured and supportive teaching.
I believe that architecture should feel creative and not confusing when it is taught in a simple and organized way. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down design concepts into clear steps so students can understand them easily. I use sketches, examples, and guided exercises to support learning. I also take time to understand each student’s pace and adjust my teaching style so they feel comfortable and motivated.
Outside of teaching, I continue exploring architectural ideas and improving my teaching methods. This helps me provide better learning experiences. Teaching architecture is very fulfilling to me because I enjoy helping students express their creativity, build confidence, and develop strong design thinking skills that support their growth and future goals.

Architecture becomes more engaging when students understand how ideas turn into designs instead of only focusing on drawings. In my lessons, I focus on building strong design understanding through simple and clear explanations. We begin with basic concepts such as shapes, balance, and spatial awareness. I guide students step by step so they can understand how designs are planned and developed. This helps students build confidence in expressing their ideas.
As students progress, I introduce more advanced topics such as design development, material understanding, model creation, and presentation techniques. I explain each concept carefully so students can apply their learning effectively. Each lesson includes sketching practice, design exercises, and feedback sessions to improve creativity and accuracy. I also help students develop structured approaches to design thinking.
Architecture lessons also help students develop creativity, observation skills, and problem-solving ability. They learn how to think visually and express ideas clearly. Over time, students become more confident in their creative abilities. My goal is to make architecture simple, inspiring, and practical while helping students build strong design skills and confidence.
