About Zachary

My fascination with architecture began with observing how spaces influence human behavior, inspiring me to pursue a B.Arch followed by an M.Arch in Urban Design. Over 8 years, I have guided learners from foundational sketching and design principles to advanced conceptual projects, helping them gain both confidence and technical skill. My approach emphasizes structured guidance, creativity, and real-world relevance.

I teach with patience, clarity, and engagement, combining interactive exercises, project-based learning, and conceptual discussions. I encourage students to explore their own ideas, think critically about design challenges, and develop a personal architectural voice. Lessons balance technical understanding, artistic expression, and problem-solving to build mastery and confidence.

Outside teaching, I remain connected to architecture through design research, urban studies, and sustainability initiatives, which enrich my lessons. Watching learners develop spatial awareness, design thinking, and originality is deeply rewarding. My aim is to inspire students to combine creativity with technical skill, producing designs that are both innovative and thoughtful.

About the lesson

Architecture becomes engaging when students can see how abstract ideas transform into functional, beautiful spaces. My lessons cover design principles, spatial awareness, conceptual sketching, material studies, sustainable design, and model creation. I focus on fostering creativity alongside technical understanding, encouraging learners to develop unique designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and practicality. Lesson plans are personalized to the student’s experience. Beginners explore basic sketching, proportion, composition, and simple model building to establish foundational design skills. Intermediate learners delve into spatial planning, advanced drawing techniques, structural understanding, and material application to refine their creative and technical abilities. Advanced learners focus on portfolio development, sustainable design strategies, urban context analysis, and presentation techniques to prepare for professional or academic advancement.
